200 West End Ave | Upper West Side, New York 2020

200 West End Avenue, located at 70th and West End Avenue, was developed by the Clarett Group and designed by Costas Kondylis. This full-service, white-glove condominium, built in 2008, features 173 units across 29 stories. Its amenities include a fitness center, wine room, billiards room, media room, and playroom. In 2020, the amenity areas were updated, with architectural modifications made to the lounges.

Our client challenged us to create a 'wow' factor in the central lounge while making the space feel more expansive. In response, we designed a striking marble and rosewood feature wall, opened passages between rooms with ceiling-height sliding doors, and arranged open seating groups to enhance the room’s flow.

In the media room, the original club chair seating on a single level made viewing difficult in the limited space. To solve this, we custom-designed individual furniture pieces with internal elevated platform heights, achieving a stadium-style effect while maintaining flexibility, preventing the room from being locked into a traditional theater layout.
